Movie Night - Dunkirk

Join us Friday evening, Feb 9, for dinner at 6, the movie at 7, and discussion afterwards.

cclaimed auteur Christopher Nolan directs this World War II thriller about the evacuation of Allied troops from the French city of Dunkirk before Nazi forces can take hold. Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh and Mark Rylance co-star, with longtime Nolan collaborator Hans Zimmer providing the score.

Nolan employs minimal dialogue and in media res camerawork to plunk the viewer right into the thick of things so you feel like you're experiencing the chaos of war and the reactive drive to escape it.

Special 3 Week Study: God, What on Earth are You Doing?

All are welcome to join the grad students for a 3 week study taught by Dave and Doreen Moore of Two Cities Ministries here in Austin. The study is based on a book Dave has just written exploring our struggles with God’s goodness in a terribly broken world
It is easy to proclaim the “goodness of God” when circumstances are generally pleasant and suffering minimal. It is much more challenging to believe God is truly committed to our well-being when acute suffering, the kind that is not going away anytime soon, abruptly enters our life.

We will have dinner from 6-7, and the study will run from 7-8 with time for Q&A afterwards. Please plan to join us.
